Dave Who?
Dave Farley is an authority on organizational development, public funds management, accountability and governance. He has 19 years of experience partnering with local municipalities, school districts, corporations, NGOs, special districts and governing boards. Dave has worked on over $80 million in public-private projects, successfully monitored the regulatory compliance of $62 million in public funds and secured $5.6 million for new projects. He has an extensive background involving strategic planning, organizational assessments, grant writing, feasibility studies, program design and governmental relations. His projects have been featured in national publications including Forbes and the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
Dave is currently the coast region grant manager for the California Fire Safe Council where he manages $11 million in federal grants. In this capacity, he monitors the Fire Safe Council's sub-grantees' implementation of their funded projects.
Throughout his career, Dave has partnered with some outstanding companies nationwide including Macromedia, Inc.; the County of Sacramento; Sutter Health, Inc.; the Greater Atlanta Chamber of Commerce; the Federal Technology Center; and Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. Dave was one of the first independent consultants to have a major Web presence when he developed his firm's website in 1995 (thegrantdoctors.com). In 1998, Dave launched grantsonline.com, a comprehensive directory of public and private funding sources on the Internet--including the first online index of state grants from all 50 states.
Dave is a public administration graduate from University of Southern California (B.S.) and Golden Gate University (M.P.A.). Dave is active in the local community serving on various boards and commissions. He is a past board member for the Volunteer Center of Sacramento and the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society (STJS). The STJS conducts the annual Jazz Jubilee in Sacramento, California--one of the largest special events in California with over 100,000 annual attendees. Dave is a member of the American Society of Public Administration.

Dave is also passionate about health, fitness and physical education issues. He developed a brand of clothing in order to use the proceeds to support athletes and obesity prevention projects. |
